Mahdi Abdullahi, 27, of Pield Heath Road, Uxbridge, has been charged after a doctor was stabbed at Hillingdon Hospital in west London. The incident happened shortly before 3am on 26 May. Officers already at the hospital for a separate matter responded and arrested him. Abdullahi faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, and theft of knives. The doctor, a man in his 50s, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Abdullahi was remanded to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on 27 May.

🇬🇧 A teenage boy was killed with a machete in Hackney last night. A house party spilled onto the streets and turned ugly fast. Multiple people showed up with machetes, gunshots were reported, and by the end of it a teenage boy was dead. Paramedics and London's Air Ambulance did what they could. It wasn't enough. Utterly horrendous story fraud, scammers and possibly a murder. This was Janet Fordham from Honiton, Devon. She was a 69 year old widow who was unhappy and lonely after the death of her husband. She was preyed upon by romance scammers, one of whom pretended to be a retired British Army major in Syria who needed her help to transport gold bars. The network of scammers appeared to be in Ghana, US, UK and Germany but it is possible they were all in Ghana and using VPNs and fake identities. This is called “pig butchering”. When one victim is targeted by a team of scammers, passing her from one to the next until all her funds have gone. She lost her £1m life savings and her home and ended up living in a caravan barely able to afford food. Finally, Janet met 52 year old Daniel 'Kofi' Agyapong from Ghana on Facebook. He said he was a doctor and claimed that he would help her get her money back so she flew out to Ghana to meet him. Between October 2022 and February 2023, they “fell in love” and got engaged. On 14 February 2023, they were driving to meet Kofi’s family when apparently an oncoming car caused Kofi to swerve and overturn his vehicle. Janet was not wearing a seat belt (!) and suffered a fatal head injury and died. Unsurprisingly, Kofi was wearing a seat belt and walked away unscathed. The driver of the mythical oncoming car was not found. In Ghana, Kofi was charged with careless driving and given a suspended sentence and a fine. On 22 April 2026, an inquest took place in Devon into the circumstances of her death. It was ruled that she died from a head injury as a result of a road traffic collision. Janet’s family believe that when Kofi (and the other scammers) found that she did not have any more money she was killed. But there is no justice for her. And Kofi (and the other scammers) remain free to continue to pursue other women.

🚨🇺🇸 Two attorneys were shot outside the Wake County Courthouse in downtown Raleigh this morning. Suspect is in custody. The shooter had been in the same courtroom as both victims earlier that morning. She became belligerent, left the courthouse, went back to her car, retrieved a handgun, and opened fire as the attorneys exited the building. They were representing the Rolesville Police Department in a 4-year civil case involving body camera footage. The female attorney is currently in surgery. The male attorney was also hit.
