@MCronk_KC @VCP_HQ Fan of VCP. Honestly, I need time to process a coherent response to rest. I have not seen the doc you referenced, only watched trailer. My gut reaction to yr question is simple: stop putting vets on pedestals. We are citizens and need to earn our place, not be tool for politics.

@citzsold Adding to my list! One of my takeaway questions: what can we do better as a community to support vets & help fulfill that sense of camaraderie when they are back home. One of the outlets I’ve considered volunteering for is @VCP_HQ. Need to find a positive political outlet too.

A group of @AntiochMS played the roles of presidents and advisors in Truman’s decision to desegregate the military. They dug through docs, and presented to each other. Ended the day with a tour of the museum and a pass to return later for more time to look around. Very proud!

@GarfieldNPS , hanging out at @TrumanLibrary, working through the #whdc. Look he decided to hang out in the room where it happened. I hope he has his security clearance up to date, as the documents were formerly classified.

@OneChalkArmy That is awesome! Great problem solving. I’ll have to borrow that. Thank you for sharing. My favorite part of a drum line is the way it feels in my chest. But this will take me to those times. Appreciated!

@OneChalkArmy Short weeks are always the hardest, which makes absolutely no sense. But, if you need some one to crowd share the cost for drum line, I’m in. Attended a conference that started with drum line welcoming guests. Sets the day.

William McKinley, 25th POTUS (1897-1901), born #OnThisDay 181 years ago: 1/29/1843. He & James Garfield knew each other & had much in common: both Ohioans, both Civil War vets, both Republicans, both members of House of Representatives, and sadly, both assassinated presidents.

@GarfieldNPS @GarfieldNPS, if we are doing a deep dive here, the 49ers and California wouldn't be near as populated without the launching pad of Independence, MO, which is just 1 mile away GEHA stadium. In other words, the California Trail starts in Kansas City. The 49ers left from KC.
