I feel for Jacob. He's a great engineer & a small outfit. This can ruin reputations. Not great @vaillantuk. Would you be against helping him out as much as possible? I imagine this has caused immense stress for him, his family and customers . @cj_Vaillant @CraigVaillant

@vaillantuk finally got my 3rd arotherm Plus delivered after months of waiting. 3rd install, 3rd one dead on arrival. Your tecnical support today has been terrible. Hours waiting for calls back. Quickly loosing faith. @cj_Vaillant

@ramcq @theolodian @CraigVaillant It’s driven via the installer account so if Steve downloads the app and sets it up he can give you access to change parameters, see KWH usuals etc. It’s due to the architecture as the installer can get fault/service notifications etc

@cj_Vaillant @theolodian @CraigVaillant That was in myVaillant - tried to connect on a new account and it doesn't seem to talk to the VR920 at all yet. Can't get in on Pro unless someone lends me their Gas Safe #... 🤔

@theolodian @cj_Vaillant @CraigVaillant I think at the moment different apps correspond to different controllers, VRC700 has its own billy basic app, sensoCOMFORT uses sensoAPP and vSMART has a different one again. Seems like MyVaillant is destined to be the one ring to rule them all...?

@ramcq @CraigVaillant Try the my Vaillant app, this has more functionality - the my Vaillant pro app is the installer level and now include information for HP’s. Over the coming months more functionality will be sent as an update….

There’s a lot of chat about how hard it is to switch to a heat pump. It took 1 person half a day to take the old gas boiler out and 2 very skilled people 1 day to install our new heat pump, buffer & cylinder. I know there are other barriers but maybe it’s not that hard.

Just doing a whole house heat calc for a Arotherm Plus install. Had a play with @vaillantuk show point app for the first time. Customer really impressed at being able to see what it will look like in situ. @betateach

@juliandc @VietecHeating @vaillantuk Ridiculous that England states the unit has to be under 0.6m3 for permitted development - if the unit was 6 inches slimmer it would fall under the standard. Wales and Scotland state 1m3 from memory

@swebster56 @JonathanWaxman1 @myGrantUK @kenbone44 @SuperiorPlumb11 If glycol is not used and there is a lack of power or power cut to outdoor unit and damage is caused due to the above reasons the warranty wouldn’t be covered so this is really the choice of home owner and installer - glycol is best practise to avoid the above scenario

@JonathanWaxman1 @myGrantUK @kenbone44 @SuperiorPlumb11 Depends on the product, NIBE do not require glycol. IMO it creates more problems than it prevents. Vaillant state it should be used, but they also recommend using Ethlyne which is a toxic poison! We will only use poly whatever they say.

@jkanbi @s_calvert_heat The data has not been published and the decision was taken to promote our heat pump with maximum flow temperature for heating at 55 deg’s! The heat pump can produce more of course but in the wrong hands will damage our brand 🐰

@s_calvert_heat Obtained from Vaillant NL website, ignore the KW symbol, seems like a typo. Please feel free to confirm the findings. I have created an image mapped to UK units with KW symbol removed as it say COP in the left column. #specification" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">vaillant.nl/professioneel/…

Ashp get kw degradation to watch for. Higher flow lower ambient give lower cop 2 in cop 2=4kw out 2 in cop 3=6kw out 2 in cop 4=8kw out And so on, look for the cop at your design temp+flow not scop dont get caught by it. Low flow is best for this reason. Look for cop not scop👍

@cj_Vaillant @vaillantuk Hi Chris, first thank you for replying, I appreciate that👍 A post is saying down to EU legislation which if true takes it out of your hands. I did our recycle run yesterday, having fitted several Arotherm the pile of manuals was a shock! Look forward to update.

@vaillantuk⁩ Any idea how much energy and resource you waste, how much landfill you create - putting this lot in with a heat pump? My conscience is telling me to stop fitting your products. Tell me why not please. #fakegreencredentials
