@SD_Comic_Con @clowchan Of course there will be 2 sides to it. Just like everything with SDCC. Some are happy, some aren't. If nothing else, I think everyone should think it's a step in the right direction. Also, I appreciate that CCI is listening. 50 mins in old system, you'd have no room at all.

Which is also an absolutely fair assessment, and we agree it's not perfect (and have suggestions at the bottom)! Of course the people who got what they wanted will have a sunnier view. But we try to look at overall trends, and it definitely does seem like more people got at least something in this sale than normal.

I think it was a very mixed bag. ones who got in under 10 of course will be very positive about it. Some folks like me got in nearly 50 minutes and had to go through a lot to find rooms that weren't single occupancy. There were others who didn't get anything. It needs work.

@SD_Comic_Con If I'm reading correct, you have 72 hrs to resubmit payment. It doesn't just automatically cancel if it fails. Mine went through already but I was a nervous wreck putting in my info and wouldn't have been surprised if i messed something up

If you didn't get a room at #SDCC, all hope is not lost. 1. If payment fails, rooms will be canceled and returned to inventory. 2. onPeak and CCI are working to add additional hotels with fair rates on the shuttle route. 3. Even with the non-refundable deposit, some people will still cancel, and rooms returned to inventory. Basically: Keep checking the site, and follow @sdccHotelTrackr

@Comic_Con Thank you again for holding this sale and for keeping the rates more affordable for those of us coming from out of town! I actually liked this version more than the previous. I know exactly what I'm getting. Thank you for keeping traffic throttled so much too!

Hotelpocalypse will always suck, but dare I say this year’s system may have been one of the less sucky ways to do it? 👀 Was pleasantly surprised at which hotels were still available 45 mins in, in the old days you’d be in Mission Valley by then

@SD_Comic_Con It went a lot better than I expected. They obviously really slowed things down and I’m grateful for that. They clearly understood the importance of getting it right
