Tarun Kanyamarala has won the 101st Irish Championship 2022, with a score of 8/9, it is absolutely brilliant that just a few weeks ago his sister Trisha also became top Irish Women's Chess Champion 2022. GM titles are destined for both we're sure.

We had around 30 attendees at last Monday's weekly meetup. That includes a grandfather/grandson pair (pictured below) who are learning the game together. As shown, we welcome all ages and all abilities. A future titled player might look back fondly at these photographs someday.
