How would you grade this draft without the Ohio State defense?

In Moneyball (2011), Jonah Hill’s character Peter Brand is a fictionalized version of baseball executive Paul DePodesta, who declined to have his real name used because the film took significant creative liberties with his role.

The Bengals are a very difficult team to mock draft for once Sonny Styles and Caleb Downs are gone imo

@Clevta @cjwaldock22 He's inferring that badly managed teams can put themselves in massive holes that take years to dig out of, and the parity-driven NFL may not want to allow them to have that much rope

Excuse my ignorance but why is it so laughable to allow nfl teams to trade picks 5 years in the future if they want? The NBA allows it even further years. If u are a franchise who thinks teams/GMs will be too reckless with that available then wouldn’t u your competition to do something u consider so dumb and reckless? I just don’t understand why a team would be against offering flexibility in trades for the league

@jake_burns18 It would have had a better chance if any other team had proposed it. The Browns are an example of why it should be blocked.

@Clevta Hypothetically, if the Browns had been able to trade 5 firsts for Watson, they would be in an even worse position today. It lowers the floor for bad teams to be even worse. There’s no benefit to the nfl. Also, fewer teams having high draft picks also lowers draft ratings

@cjwaldock22 Don’t totally understand your tweet. Are u inferring that offering the ability to trade up to five years in the future will create more tanking teams?

It defers Garrett's option bonuses ($10M in '26, $13M '27, $7M '28) from March to early Sept each year, giving #Browns ~6 months extra cap breathing room annually to restructure, cut, or trade without immediate cash hits. No major '26 cap relief upfront, but more timing flexibility long-term.

@fakecorykinnan Half ass tank where they end up with the 5-7th pick again, miss the top qbs, and stretch for a QB whole will fail.

Open #Browns QB competition featuring Deshaun Watson & Shedeur Sanders with new HC Todd Monken who could help both of their skill sets. + Why CLE could use 2 first round picks (6 & 24) at non-QB offensive spots like LT and/or WR to support QB1. For @nflnetwork The Insiders:

@YoYoDills @BudElliott3 I have no dog in this fight, but I would take most of Michigan’s defense over usc. USC has better QB and probably better O-Line. Michigan has better receivers at this point.

Interesting exercise to take what you think and compare it against another model visually. For instance I don't think that gap between Missouri and Illinois, South Carolina and Nebraska, Auburn or Vanderbilt and Minnesota is nearly that wide. I also suspect that Kentucky and Rutgers are more gapped out than it shows. Also a whole lot went right for Texas A&M last year and it made me, after viewing this, think: I wonder would I really take Texas A&M over USC or Michigan on a neutral field? I don't think I would.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but man, I find it WILD that Chris Simms has never ranked an Ohio State wide receiver as the No. 1 receiver in his respective class, despite the run they’ve been on. Perhaps it’ll change next year, not that it really matters.
