🐾6-y/o Zeus came in last week, owner surrendered after just 2 months. Arrived very scared but has made big improvements but still made the list. Very playful, happy, smart, good on a leash, neutered. Remember the Dallas dog fighting ring bust? A friend pulled a Rottie from that group. She posted this. Unbelievable!! Because our records are public. When we tag a dog and someone ask for a open records report. They get the name. But most like me have our information on our websites and guidestar etc. I don’t think in all the years I’ve been doing dog rescue I’ve ever received a threat for my safety or a rescue dog’s safety. In 2026 I’m starting to believe people have lost their minds and struggle with mental illness more than I can ever remember. I’m not allowed to post the phone number or I definitely would. We have moved Legacy to a safe location and he is no longer in my home. Actually he is staying with a police officer until he is transported safely to his adopter which she will now have to remain anonymous. However I will make sure you all get pics and updates of his beautiful new life. Legacy is a dog I took in back in December and as one of the worst fighting cases I’ve seen since being here in Dallas. He was pulled from the Fort Worth Shelter and immediately went to seek medical treatment for his wounds. I’ve had him for months and spent many days rehabbing him because he is so broken and his spirit is so timid. This dog is scared of everything and I mean everything even a chihuahua. He is the absolute sweetest soul I’ve ever come across and no threat or weird messages could ever take him away from us. My home is surrounded by cameras and a security system. I am also armed and will send anyone to Jesus that attempts to enter my home or cause harm to my dogs. Please be aware that dog fighters are now stalking rescue pages and we are no longer safe. God protects me and these dogs every single day, so my sense of humor will always remain! 🥴 Credit to January Marie #teamlegacy

I lost access to my account a few days ago. Likely because I posted a dog was murdered, not "euthanized" and someone took the opportunity to grind an axe. Had no explanation from X. I won't change. I won't be muzzled. Facts matter. Whoever did it stopped me from helping dogs here but had no effect whatsoever locally. All they did is possibly stop a dog or two from being saved. I don't have huge reach but every repost matters. On the road for work today but tomorrow I will show a few saves we did in the meantime locally and continue to back others by reposting. Please be better than this. Rise above and concentrate on the puppers. We should all be able to agree on that. Thanks.

Good morning. While locked out we were busy here. This in one we have been able to help. Jess is 3 and reportedly had never seen the outside of a cage till now. Breeders had her but either didn't use her, or it didn't take. She shows no sign of having pups. Yet they kept her in the backyard shed trapped in a 2 1/2-foot cage for that long. She was finally confiscated about 2 hours from me after a couple years of reports by neighbors. Nobody had time or space for her, and she was TBK. She was labeled untrainable by some hack on her paperwork, and that is likely why. I got a phone call about it and I went and got her. In just days she is asking to go out for the bathroom stuff and sits and stays on command. She is happy, healthy and soon will be ready to find a family. From scared and trembling to goofy and outgoing in a blink of an eye. From not wanting to enter a home to sitting on a chair unprompted. Just a little time, patience and care. They want to please. They want to live. They just need our help. This is the change YOU can make in a dog's life. It's easy as pie. Just do it! 👍

🐾Cupid 💘 has been listed many times & running out of chances. Added to the list for medical, shelter made him sick - caught pneumonia & eating little, needs a vet. Came in a stray mid Feb. Someone dumped this baby in a Houston neighborhood with no food or water 😢 He’s just sitting there… waiting… thinking they’re coming back. Thankfully, a kind resident stepped in, and we’re now trying to find a rescue...but rescues can’t do it alone. They desperately need fosters.
