Temple Grandin says she has no working memory. But I think she has. But being autistic she is relying on the working memory of the conscious brain, 7 plus minus 2, which is indeed insufficient for most daily tasks... The unconscious brain is way more powerful #AutismCork22

Second time this year I am speaking at the same conference as Temple Grandin, this time at #autismcork22. She's talking about "smart autistic kids who cannot shop". We should educate not to the test but to the world. And therefore children need to be exposed to many things.

Temple Grandin in her talk at #AutismCork22 keeps on stressing the importance of 'exposure'. And she repeats her famous quote: "Mum stretched me. But she gave me limited choices."
