It’s like how a man’s job will be to take out the trash but then he doesn’t actually bother to notice when the trash needs to be taken out, will not take out the trash unless prompted to do so thus putting the mental load of this task on his wife, and will not put a new bag into the bin once he has taken it out.
The management of this task, its start and completion is still on the woman. He’s effectively just a mindless set of arms who still needs to be turned on and guided for this thirty second chore.
He takes no ownership over his responsibilities, he is merely a passive appliance and 2/3 parts of completing this task still falls on his wife. It may sound trivial but when this dynamic is the case with every single chore it completely drains you.
