Today, we took part in a symbolic tree planting ceremony at King’s Park Arena ahead of the #Kampala7s.
Representing Nile Breweries Ltd was our Corporate Affairs Manager, Clare Asiimwe, who joined the captains of the participating teams and other partners to plant tree seedlings.
We have a long-standing relationship with @UgandaRugby, and this initiative perfectly aligns with our sustainability commitments, particularly in advancing Climate Action (SDG 13).

Today, we held a Celebration of Life service to honor our former Legal and Corporate Affairs Director and Board Chair, Onapito Francis Ekomoloit at our plant in Jinja. The event brought together employees, former colleagues, and family to commemorate his 17-year contribution to the company. Catherine Onapito, the widow, expressed gratitude for the company's support throughout her husband's career and during his passing. She highlighted his dedication to NBL and his positive impact on the community.

I knew “Ona” , from my S.6 vacation, when @MOmugalanda introduced us. He was an amiable, kind, very jovial, level headed, measured in speech & sharp man.
He always welcomed me when I went to meet Ronald at @NBLUganda and also did gigs there. He always had one or two (& I mean this literally) very wise words to say & never held himself so high, and yet he was actually high there.
Later I met Ona Jnr, (in the debate circles) to whom he passed many of his qualities.
A great gentleman has fallen. Rest well kind sir, a legacy lives on .🙏🏿😫
Nile breweries, please produce Onaspecial one more time, to celebrate him deservedly.
