I know Twitter ain’t what it used to be but if you see this, please have a read of what Matt’s gone through and what we’re fighting for. And please give this a little share or even a donation, if you can. He means the world to me ♥️ gofund.me/129d33af

My Bro Rick ❤️🕊️ passed peacefully the week before last, surrounded by his loving family. Rick fought courageously against a glioblastoma brain tumour for 3 years. He campaigned for @braintumourrsch awareness of the lack of funding for Brain Tumour Research 💔 @shitscaredmum

While some patients in Spain, Germany & beyond are able to access Tumour Treating Fields (TTFields) a pioneering therapy for glioblastoma, it's not an option for UK patients via the NHS. We’re seeking to understand why and what we can do to change this by: 📢 Engaging with NICE 💰 Watching for news of lower costs & new evidence 👥 Working with MPs through the APPG on Brain Tumours Brain tumour patients deserve innovation, options and hope. Enough is Enough. Brain tumour patients in the UK are being denied access to potentially life-extending technologies that are available across the world. Tumour Treating Fields is already helping 35,000 people globally, yet NICE refuses to even evaluate it. We cannot and will not accept this. Every day of delay costs lives. That’s why we’re demanding action and we need your help now! bit.ly/4614CNz 👉 Write to your MP this weekend using our template letter and tell them. #TogetherWeWillFindACure #EnoughIsEnough #BrainTumourAwareness Image credit: ICR Sutton Site Light Microscopy Facility

"…there's only one chance to get it right… as soon as they've put that in paraffin or they've contaminated it with something, you lose all opportunity of doing something else with it… that one decision has to be the right decision." 💯 bbc.com/news/articles/…

Absolutely devastated. I loved watching Diogo Jota play football, the way he darted around, hustled, scampered, found himself in goalscoring positions on the end of crosses, deflections, blocks. He symbolised a period of time where it felt like Wolves could do anything, beat anyone, be what we wanted. Diogo always looked like he loved playing football, which for me, as a fan, really, is the thing I enjoy seeing most. I want to be out there too, scampering around, chasing lost causes, getting on the end of bobbling crosses, celebrating a goal in front of 30,000 Wolves fans... so if you're a player who is enjoying actually getting to do that, man, I love you. I love you. The world feels like a dark place in so many horrific ways right now, and I am heartbroken for his family and loved ones and anyone who knew him. "Diogoooo... JOTA, running down the wing, JOTA, hear the Wanderers sing, JOTA, we're all going to Gdansk" will live in the heads of the people who were there for those moments forever. Thank you Diogo. I'm so sorry man.

@clairyhawk @AvivaUK They stopped covering Optune! According to the data - the best treatment there is! And they say it's 'experimental' = bonkers! Hope you're both well Claire

@Bozzers You should also try the two new bakeries that have just opened in Harborne - Lavendar Artisan Bakery and Manilla Artisan Breads. It's a real battle of the bakeries over this way (need a name for it... Breadiators?)

Writing Take Care was such an emotional experience. For a while I wasn't sure that I wanted to tell my story. But if it helps even a single person find hope to overcome difficulties in their own life then this will have all been worthwhile. Thanks for all your support. Lindsey x

@ichoosemag Good for bakes and pastries from city centre and a few specific spots outside of there. Perch and Early Bird are on there so that alone serves me well.

Remember there are those who grimace when they hear the city being spoken ill of but perhaps don't have the time nor the inclination to point a few things out. That we have one of the five major ballet companies of the United Kingdom, for example, and the busiest single theatre in the country. That we have the UK's first ever purpose-built repertory theatre, one of the most thrilling conductors on Earth steering one of the best symphony orchestras and a citizenship that is fighting tooth and nail to save the oldest working cinema. We have two of the best street food venues in the land, Michelin stars and the first and only non-London Indian restaurant to win not just one star, but two. The best gin bar in Britain and, coincidentally, one of the best bars in the country. The funniest and friendliest people you could ever want to meet. Almost 600 parks, 14 square miles of greenery, more than any other equivalent sized European city. The single best square half a mile of Indian subcontinental food. Two of the very best urban music festivals for miles and miles around. A gay village and a Chinese Quarter that mesh into the same outstanding suburb. The largest independent museums trust in the United Kingdom. An internationally acclaimed contemporary art venue that takes more risks than any gallery I experienced in 13 years in the capital. One of the most bohemian districts known to man and a hotbed for street art. Lycett. The only Baths in the country built before 1914 to have continuously hosted swimming since opening. Europe's largest concentration of jewellery traders and designers. An official gayborhood alongside the likes of The Castro, San Francisco and The Marais in Paris. The longest-established of Britain's building-based theatre companies and one of its most consistently innovative. Hammond. The first music school to be established in England outside London and still one of the best. Bonehead! One of the best athletics stadiums in the country and the largest facility of its kind in the UK. The National Sea Life Centre. The National Exhibition Centre. The National Indoor Arena and long memories. The social, cultural, financial and commercial centre of the Midlands. The largest public library in the United Kingdom and the largest regional library in Europe. Britain's most important Shakespeare collection. The largest hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold and silver metalwork yet found, anywhere, ever. Works by Constable, Van Gogh, Gainsborough, Hogarth, Monet, Turner, Bacon, Rubens, Degas, Renoir, Botticelli, Van Dyck, Gauguin, Whistler and countless more — all free to see. The first building to be purpose-built for the study of art history in the United Kingdom. One of the world's largest coin collections. Symphony Hall — the finest acoustics in the country. Snobs. Still. Somehow. Mr Egg. Still. Somehow. Cat Deeley!

Cooper made me fall in love with Forest all over again but Nuno has made me fall back in love with football. I can watch any Premier League game happily now. In fact, any football match. I’ll watch anything.
