I started writing this article four years ago, after returning from mat leave during Covid, and it was hard not to take Reject decisions personally. BUT this is a sign to keep going and persevere! I’m glad I did and am able see this in print now!

As always, I have received really constructive and necessary feedback on various versions of this article for which I am very grateful for. I have also received plenty of harsh and unhelpful comments.
