@McDonaldsUK, for about the 40th time my Toffee Latte is just a Latte. It's nice coffee, but when you've driven away and realise your sweet caffeine fix isn't sweet after all, it's just disappointing.

@AngieBeatDown In short, we have to. We are required to check 3 points of ID - name, address, DOB to ensure we have the right person. Giving the wrong information, drugs or treatment (in my case radiation) could be incredibly dangerous, and lose us our job.

@ceritheviking I think it's Glantaf's choice for it to be compulsory, it wasn't in my day. Technoleg was.

@mollsjayne I wouldn't actually hate the odd gentle constructive criticism. If I say something intelligible that could have been put better, I'm OK with taking that on board as long as it's nor said unkindly.

@mollsjayne I'm lucky never to have experienced criticism of my learner Welsh but I do find quite a few fluent speakers switch to English. I think it's done out of kindness, wanting not to make the conversation uncomfortable, but it's not actually that helpful for my development!

I absolutely adore the Welsh language. But one thing that I struggle with is the small group of people who show elitist behaviours towards to the way people use their language, including towards learners, and then feel the need to comment on it VERY publicly. A thread:

@signor_piccolo Not sure of the name but the lyrics were "I will bring to you the best gifts I can offer, I will sing to you the best things in my mind. I'll bring you paper, bits of string, I'll bring you almost anything, I'll bring a song that only I can sing....."

Guten Rutsch ins Jahr 2024! 😉 #HappyNewYear2024

@LeeJarvis10 I think this may be an appetite issue. I can take my 2 teen daughters there for lunch for under £20. It's hardly gourmet but better than McDs IMO.

@thorpeheath @Pamchenkova It's such a shame. My OH isn't interested in gymnastics but I dragged him along to a senior GB MAG comp and he was astounded by the skill on show. Now he's seen it he would 100% go again. But how to get people in to begin with?! 🤔

@Pamchenkova MAG TF just isn’t feasible and the lack of people attending last night was so heartbreaking. It really is a dying sport

Thoughts? Split MAG and WAG AA + TF competitions over 2 days. This would allow to have MAG and WAG competing together to help increase MAG engagement and reduce competition session durations for both gymsports.

@Rhiannoncole91 Location, location, location. Would you feel safe walking down the street alone after dark? Would you be happy for your kids to go to the local school. If you don't think so, don't do it.

@moviegoblin Yes, spotted the surname. Fabulous episode, loved it. Just the smallest of small things - please, please Casualty, mention radiographers occasionally. None of those scans or x-rays happen without them.

@sarajcox I received a bright red bike with a green apple sticker on it for Christmas when I was 5. My dad ran around the local park day after day, holding onto the back of it until he finally let go and off I went, shakily but without falling off.

Do you remember learning to ride your 2 wheel bike? Who taught you? Where? Did you pedal off confidently or were there bumps & bruises? Can you remember the treasured bike you made your debut on? Did you rock stabilisers til a ripe old age (me😁) or have you yet to learn?

@TemplarWilson Oooh, I'm in the minority but a bit mystified why you wouldn't want to be! Ours is just mums trying to help one another along with little reminders about things and occasional invites out for wine. Maybe I just got lucky?!

@MartinSLewis @bbc5live We transfer 70% of our earnings into a joint account from which all household expenses are paid (I manage this) . We consult each other on spending these funds if non-standard. Our own 30% is exactly that. We don't manage money too tightly as both natural savers.
