Oh we are still discriminating against DO students for no reason?? One of my friends applying ortho sent this to me and it’s honestly a shame. Save your money come application time my DO ortho friends by not applying to a program like this.

@IYannaScott27 Spend the 1st week observing small things done in OR/L&D/office that you can do that will make residents/attendings' lives easier. Grab U/S machine, supplies or warm blankets, help position pt, etc. If someone suggests you could do something, don't let them have to suggest it 2x

@PomerantzLauren A lot of programs offer student housing that’s affordable as well (200-300 per month). I’ve also had good luck with Airbnb. I’d echo the value of a kitchen is huge. A good Sunday meal prep was the key to my success & sanity!

#MedTwitter looking for some advice on finding affordable/free housing for away rotations and generally how to keep costs down. Didn’t realize how expensive they were until today!
