In km that would be about 600km per month ?
In an EV is about 90 kw or about $7.20 per month

@JC47053522 The mechanic has been looking after it from new.
It's due a timing belt and I'm going to get a new head gasket (they are known to die in this model) next year. That will be about $3k.
After that, we will just get yearly services.
I doubt petrol will remain over $2 forever.

We have a 2007 Subaru Liberty wagon with 130k on the clock. We paid $40k for it new. 4 star ANCAP rating.
The comprehensive insurance is $550pa.
Servicing is about $180pa.
We fill the tank about once a month.
Yearly cost is about $2500.

@clarkes @Ispeek4me @Peter_Fitz Can I ask when you did your maths , what rate for charging did you work on ? Globird offer free electrcity 10am-2pm & AGL 8c kwh 12-6 am . Did you allow for a Level 2 charger ? Depending on your use you may not even need one . A 10 amp GPO can give you more than 400km per week .

@clarkes @Peter_Fitz EVs require servicing a lot less frequently and with less components to service. EV servicing is 36-50% cheaper than ICE vehicles. (US data)
