So China invades Australia in 2025 and 650m Chinese are relocated here in 2026 The Australian way of life ceases to exist. Australians are treated as 2nd class citizens under the new regime and, over time, are likely to die earlier than their Chinese occupiers ...

Existential crisis in real time for the Liberal Party
Kos Samaras@KosSamaras

South Australia may be about to witness an extinction-level event for the Liberal Party. All polling has the Liberals at just 16% to 18% primary vote. One Nation is sitting at 22% to 25%, ahead of the party that has governed this country for a good chunk of time since federation. This is the cannibalisation playing out in real time. One Nation eating into the Liberal base from the right, while Labor consolidates and potentially extends its reach into middle urban Adelaide that Liberals once held comfortably. They are being squeezed from both directions simultaneously, and there’s nowhere to go. Six months ago, South Australia was the one state where analysts, myself included, thought One Nation would struggle. The geography doesn’t lend itself to the regional and outer suburban strongholds that typically fuel Pauline Hanson’s vote. The demographic profile is more insulated and hence, SA seemed like the firewall. That firewall is gone. If One Nation can poll 22% in South Australia, the implications for Queensland, NSW and Victoria are deeply ominous. This is no longer a regional protest vote phenomenon. It is a structural realignment eating through the conservative political ecosystem state by state. On the other side of the ledger, the SA Labor brand under Peter Malinauskas is performing exceptionally. His team will have a big day tomorrow. Graph: Newspoll

Looks like Barnaby has just parachuted onto #TheBoltReport. Can hardly hear him over the cows and the wind but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

@MikeCarlton01 We truly live in a magnificent country. The fact that living in Sydney, you can eat breakfast in Sydney and have lunch in Jervis Bay, or the Hunter Valley, or the Blue Mountains is something I'll never take for granted.

And so to sea from Jervis Bay with the navy for a couple of days, in the destroyer HMAS Brisbane. Magnificent.

This is very, very well said by Sarah. No one holds the Socceroos to the standard of sold out stadia. It’s an aspiration, not an expectation. @TheMatildas rise has been extraordinary, record breaking. Not measured only in crowds, nor by different standards.
ABC SPORT@abcsport

“If the Matildas are constantly measured by their success of only having full stadiums, it's really dangerous because that's not a blight on men's sport … it never is, and it never has been.” 🇦🇺🏟️⚽ 📱 Hear the AFC Women's Asian Cup on ABC listen: ab.co/4bSbSza

Trump has moved beyond the "stopping 8 wars" stage of delusion. He's now in the "Preventer of Holocausts" phase.

Epic Final for @TheMatildas against a fantastic Japanese team this Saturday night for the Asian continental title. Australia will need to be at their very best and have a very good plan. The Nadeshiko are a phenomenal team. But Australia is at home, with big stars, vast experience and the desire for this generation to win a trophy they deserve for their contribution to the game. It’s going to be another awesome night of football. Go the Matildas.

Here's aspirational Liberal Party leader Melissa McIntosh on #AfternoonBriefing A lovely chat, not much substance, nothing on policy strategy, zero on vision. I'd call it pleasant and nice.
