@clarkinsb @BParry19 Stop. Both of these guys could have played the majority of the season. They milked the system because the NCAA hasn't made rules against it.

lol another one that stole NIL funds. This is the shit that makes the current format unsustainable for mid-majors. Basically just threw money into a fire with him and Che only to see them run to the portal after giving nothing to UNLV.

6-foot-8 UNLV Jr. F Ladji Dembele @ladji_kalilou is in the portal, he tells me. Averaged 5.2 ppg and 4.2 rpg in 5 games and then got a medical redshirt

I've heard a couple really promising names out of the portal today. Xavion Staton is one and a couple really good guards. Hopefully Pastner can lock them up soon. #UNLVmbb

@BParry19 @hokiebobby Even Jones, who took significant less than other offers decided to stay, thankfully realizing his potential needed extended playing time and green light on the court which wouldn’t be guaranteed at P4 school. If they lowballed Jones what offers for the rest you think?

@BParry19 @hokiebobby talk to some players. It seems some were offered incentives only and most were lowballed., Just what im hearing. everyone including players that should start or get significant playing time next season went in the portal should indicate some truth to it.

I'm not mad at JB at all for entering the portal. He gave this school his time for 3 seasons; 1 redshirt, 1 with minimal playing time, and this season, while playing for a coach who didn't recruit him to the team originally. I hope they gave him a respectful offer, and that they had some good plans for him next season. If I were coaching there, I'd have to say... "JB, you know we need you back as the starter next year, c'mon man". As for NCAA Division 1 Coaches, you are permitted to read my scouting reports and recommendations, even though I don't have an NCAA-approved scouting service, per Adam Morrissey. Jacob Bannarbie #10 (UNLV Men's Basketball 🏀), a 6'9", 235-pounder, Big Forward, is highly skilled, and fundamentally sound. Mr. Bannarbie demonstrates extreme patience, leadership, and effective post protection defensively. Offensively, he can facilitate the pick and roll with either of the Guards, the PG or SG, or in a 3-Guard lineup, he can shine and become effective just as well. He can guard big Wing Guards and Wing Forwards, and he can be plugged in 🔌, in the post, and guard 4's and 5's. His UNLV team is losing a team player on and off the court, who can adapt to multiple changing teammates and welcome them, and can play in the most hostile environments, at high altitudes, and in difficult travel circumstances. In my opinion, Mr. Bannarbie has a very bright 🕯️future after finishing his Redshirt Sophomore year at UNLV. While entering the NCAA Transfer Portal as a Junior for next season, JB, for short, is like a traveling mercenary, or a 'Have Gun, Will Travel' type of Dude. 😎 It is my opinion that JB stands to be much more productive offensively, if given his shots in the mid-range, and his touches down-low in the post. As such, I would expect him to rebound, play solid fundamental Man-to-Man defense, and block shots in the paint, if he's actively involved in games with his new team. Again, he has spent the time developing and listening to one coach's visions for the team, and that coach's replacement too. He adjusts well to changing rosters and systems, and he would be an asset to any NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball 🏀 team. If I were able to grade Mr. Bannarbie's potential at the NCAA Division 1 level, I would have to say that he is "solidly poised to contribute to high major/Power 4 Conference teams, and it is also possible that he could dominate and make an impact at any high-level G5 schools as well. His fundamental soundness and development, his great attitude, his leadership skills, and his efforts to befriend teammates and help them with their development haven't gone unnoticed". I don't have access to his grades, GPA, or injury history; however, he has been able and available for his entire college career academically, and I doubt that he'd have any academic eligibility issues. Again, UNLV is losing a solidly developed, fundamentally sound, Big Forward, who is comfortable playing at the 5 spot, if needed. *As always, all schools are encouraged to do their due diligence when scouting and recruiting players. However, from what I have seen, any NCAA institution would be lucky to have this bright, young man, who can only benefit from his presence on their campus, and on their Men's Basketball 🏀 team. Thank you for your time, and for reading. Please reach out to JB's representatives for all recruiting purposes, as I'm not an agent, but I have scouted JB for years, including his time as a redshirt.

UNLV sophomore Jacob Bannarbie will enter the transfer portal, a source tells @247Sports. Averaged 5.4 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 1.3 APG this season, shooting 51.9% from the field. Repped by @MomentousSP. 247sports.com/player/jacob-b…

@hokiebobby @BParry19 Of course, but if one pays and the other don’t are you surprised with the max exodus we’re seeing?

@BParry19 First, che was in a boot during conference tournament and pastner said he had surgery in February therefore your premise of him sitting out is false. yes, it sucks to pay them without play, but if pastner is essentially pushing them out what do you expect them to do?

@clarkinsb So you get injured, take money and then decide naw I’m out. Che could have probably suited up and played during a portion of conference but he sat for his best interest. The system sucks, I’m all for these guys getting paid, but this shit is ridiculous to just up and leave again.

@jasonkredline If you can, talk to the players and you’ll understand why. A few I spoke to paint a completely different picture than what pastner portrayed.

Never knew what to make of Ladji. Probably the portal entry that surprises me the most so far, felt that he would return. All eyes now go to Issac Williamson, and Emanuel Stephen. Seems like the market for big men is just hyper inflated this year.

@clarkinsb @UnivofWA @SeaTownKev @Braedensmith_22 Yes he played at Gonzaga. Just didn’t get much opportunity there because they’re so loaded. Would be a solid player to add to their roster. Not an all star or anything but he’s reliable
