The success of Good Vibes Club (0.069 ETH mint to 0.4 ETH floor price) brings a few interesting learnings: 1) WL gated mints are good, but give everyone a chance to participate. GVC gave out WL spots and did a presale, but also held a public auction for a good percentage of the supply, where anyone who wanted could mint. It’s an alternative to the highly gated WL-only mints in the past (and can be successful as seen here). 2) ETH mainnet is still the big playground of NFTs. If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. GVC has dominated the global cross-chain NFT volume charts in recent days. 3) Patrons are key. The GVC team has connected with many NFT advocates. For example, I think the role that @Tma_420 played in not only minting a lot of their NFTs but also publicly supporting them on the timeline in the way that he did, was a big factor in the success of the project. 4) On secondary markets: Royalties are still alive (GVC enforces 5%), and (this was surprising): You don't necessarily have to be listed on all marketplaces. GVC is only tradable on Opensea, not Blur. But even if you exclude 40% of the total ETH volume, that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Overall good to see a successful new NFT mint again, and fun that it wasn’t one of the super hyped WLs of the past few months. Thoughts?
