If you’re seeing this, you’re on ✨TEAM JOLENE✨ Saving Sage Animal Rescue made teams for our long term dog residents (a year+) I am one of the captains for team Jolene, and we have to do everything we can to get this girl adopted and WIN! Jolene is not for everyone. Although she’s a very sweet girl, she needs an experienced Rottweiler adopter. Team Jolene is working hard to find someone to sponsor a couple of training lessons to begin her adoption journey. We will also sponsor half of her adoption fee.

Sometimes male anger at ‘women getting special treatment’ reminds me of a gorilla experiment. One gorilla gets a banana every hour. The females next to him get one every four hours. Then someone decides to be ‘fairer’ and gives the females a banana every two hours instead. The original gorilla? He flips out. He’s still getting his banana every hour, but it feels like a loss because his advantage shrank. That’s how a lot of men react to basic fairness for women: not as justice, but as theft.

RIP to my favorite Presidents Day fun fact. John Tyler, our 10th president, had a grandson alive until last May. John had a son while in his 60s. That son had a kid while in his 70s. And that kid, Harrison Tyler, passed away last year at age 96. So… New fun fact: John was born during Washington administration. So 3 generations of Tylers span EVERY PRESIDENCY IN AMERICAN HISTORY.
