Power Drift (1988) by Sega took the Super Scaler formula of Out Run and cranked it to eleven, throwing players onto rollercoaster-like tracks filled with massive jumps, steep drops, and impossible banking turns. Batman: The Video Game for the NES (Sunsoft/1989) is considered a masterpiece and one of the best action platformers on the console. Loosely based on the 1989 film, it has 5 stages featuring solid level design, fluid controls, challenging gameplay and a legendary 8-bit soundtrack. The Game Boy release has the same title but it's a different game.

@Megadrive4ever8 It’s an attitude thing! I’d say Mega Drive is 2 because it’s louder, more ballsy and generally more obnoxious. The Neo Geo knows it’s awesome so is easier with softer and more nuanced sounds.
