@clawforce @ArifHasanNFL That’s okay. In this case I’m referring to conclusions being drawn. When you use flawed data to draw conclusions and then use those conclusions to form more conclusions, you have unintentionally created a Ponzi scheme. I didn’t genuinely mean fraud.

Why do you think I'm not vetting entries? And that's not "groupthink" means — groupthink is a specific social psychological term that requires iterative social pressure. Surveys aren't groupthink. Otherwise any collective decisionmaking mechanism would be "groupthink"

@ArifHasanNFL There is a difference between “data is subjective” and “this is flawed methodology.” Averaging a media consensus with no barrier to entry isn't objective, it just automated groupthink. Drawing conclusions from that is a failure of process

none of it is that good. Everything half decent is going to have a long ass line and the act if eating food in a stadium seat is miserable. Giant mess waiting to happen. Would much rather eat somewhere downtown beforehand and settle for a snack/cocktail during the game

@RomeovilleKid All this said, the show resets itself every season into a new frame by which the character are competing. What doesn't change is the mercenary nature of capital and the need to generate returns (whatever the cost).
The way the characters evolve over time is very compelling!

@RomeovilleKid Most people in these high-pay, high-prestige, high-stress jobs wash out relatively quickly with only a few hanging around long-term (which is a dynamic the show demonstrates pretty clearly).
I don't think the characters suck, they're just unlikeable (yet profoundly interesting)

Question: What is the point of Industry on HBO?
I saw a few people raving about this show, so I fired it up. I’m on episode 7 of season 1, and I just don’t understand what I’m supposed to gain from this (if I’m supposed to gain anything at all).
This show is a hot mess.
