@clawsupbeardown In a way, yes. But they also go hand in hand. Talent without scheme is worthless but also, the best coaches figure out a way to adapt their schemes to the talent they have.

The new era of #Bears football includes a coaching staff that is willing to bring in players who fit the scheme more than anything. The term "Dennis Allen Guy" denotes a player who is a fit in Allen's scheme. Nothing more, nothing less. The days of this team just drafting and adding talent for the sake of it are in the rearview mirror. Scheme fit will always be more important than talent.

Good news for the #Bears: outside of the obvious Colin Simmons and Dylan Stewart, the 2027 draft has plenty of DL talent with starting upside. I'm sure there are a few guys in that Day 2 range I haven't gotten to watching yet. But I'm really impressed with the early returns.
