$MSTR still will outperform $BTC this cycle. Probably by 1.5x. Over time it will outperform less. This includes other @MicroStrategy assets like $MSTY. $MSTY is fantastic for making high dividend yield plus getting a 1.5-2x on the original investment. This will diminish too.

The investors most likely to build lasting wealth in crypto: Not the most aggressive ones. Not the most technically sophisticated ones. The ones who sized their positions so they could hold through the worst year imaginable. Survivability is the foundation everything else is built on.

The weirdest thing about spending time in Europe as an investor and HODLer of 50+ vol assets - like Bitcoin - is that it seems… Europeans think Investing is the same as Cash Treasury Management. Probably less than 0.5% growth focused traders left in London. Everyone else is just focused on rent seeking the best out of Treasury’s and Rates and hopefully matching inflation - PUBLISHED inflation numbers. Cooked. Entire place is cooked. They’re turning Canary Wharf into a residential estate with all the banks giving up their leases - don’t get me wrong it’s lovely - but not what I grew up in. I predicted this 10 years ago when I left Europe - it’s the best OAP village for wealthy people or retired 20 year olds (as Peter Thiel put it). No one I spoke to randomly was focused on any genuine value creation. The people that win this next period will be those that don’t assign feelings or judgement to value & just arbitrage value for $ and put those $ into scarcity. The formula is simpler than ever and yet - a whole continent is cooked and young people have Stress and Enjoyment as an expense line item that judges if the pay off is worth it. I love Europe so much - so much so that I thought about moving back not so long ago - but how when you have this corrosive self absorbed passive mindset Not to mention the social issues.

@ThinkAppraiser Solid idea. Sports betting isn't going away anytime soon. Actually teaching kids about the underlying math and position sizing could help save them from making unnecessarily risky bets later in their life

I think sports predictions should be included in high school education for all children. It would be a great way to learn math through the power of the parlay. Unrelated, I have won the last two predictions I placed on World Cup games and am now a huge fan of sports predicting. Dollar cost averaging into prediction markets could be the way of the future Few.

@TheBTCKnight If you can find cheap rent with a decent landlord, why would you buy? Extra headache, countless hours wasted on repairs, sunk cost fallacy etc.

Buy BTC or buy a house. Technically owning BTC would be more profitable. But we all need a place to live specifically if you are married and/or have kids. And ownership is better than renting imo. I personally would never own more than one house. Real estate is a headache. After the first house put everything into bitcoin.

Anyone in their right mind wouldn’t treat their hard-earned money like this. Why is the government? Congress can’t keep ABUSING your taxpayer dollars without a care in the world, it’s not fair to anyone. Let’s CUT the spending and live within our means, like every other American.

A lot of people still think making $100,000 a year means you made it, but the modern math completely debunks the myth of the six-figure salary. If you make $100k in a major US hub, Uncle Sam takes about 25% right off the top for federal, state, and payroll taxes, leaving you with roughly $6,200 a month. Average rent for a decent two-bedroom apartment is eating $2,200 of that instantly. Factor in a $770 new car payment, $500 for groceries, $300 for utilities, and $500 for health insurance premiums. You are left with around $1,900 for everything else. If you have student loans or a kid, your savings rate is literally zero. The system officially re-engineered the economy so that even the top 15% of income earners are living paycheck to paycheck. If the upper-middle class is stuck on a treadmill, the floor has completely dropped out for everyone else.

There are so many terrible takes on AI Mainly the lamentations around “AI slop” Take AI-assisted or even outright drafted writing for example… yes there are several stylistic AI “tells” people point out.. like the emdash or the colon or the “it’s not this, its that” old hat. But the net is positive… because think of all the things that would never have been expressed otherwise at all Nobody walks into a bookstore and complains that books are always sitting on shelving, or the presence of discount tables, or the fact there’s a coffee bar, or the fact that books are organized and displayed by theme, etc. Would we rather the books not exist at all? There are still boutique book stores and beautiful libraries out there… but now there’s a basic architectural template to permit a flood of other niche ideas that had a hard time being expressed by a layperson or untrained writer. Similar analog with the printed book. Before printing, books were hand written or used unique lettering, styles, and colors. Today, nobody laments the fact that virtually all books use the same small sample of font types and are largely black ink on white paper. But people probably did complain about this in the immediate years post-printing.
