UNICEF reveals 5 frontier tech start-ups from the Climate Innovation Challenge 2025. Selected from over 1,200 ventures, they are solving challenges at the intersection of climate and health.
🔵 @climatrixai from Nigeria- Delivers hyperlocal predictions of environmental hazards using AI, satellite imagery and internet of things sensors.
🔵 Naxa from Nepal- Blends community insights with climate and hazard data to generate risk profiles and multilingual preparedness messages.
🔵 RIFFAI from Thailand – Predicts environmental changes and their severity by integrating various data points into an AI system.
🔵 @respirerIN from India- Uses AI to process environmental and air-quality data from school-zones and offers cities actionable next steps.
🔵 @tryolabs from Uruguay- Leverages AI to transform fragmented datasets into clear insights for children and the systems that support them.
These teams are transforming raw data into action: predicting floods, improving air quality around schools, modelling environmental shifts, and helping cities plan smarter for the next generation.
Backed by the UNICEF Venture Fund, they’ll receive tailored support to accelerate their impact.
