By 2050, climate change could push up to 158 million more women and girls into poverty. This calls for fast action on enhancing equity for women, and for implementation of their rights!! #IWD2026

Women need to be at the center of climate negotiations! They face higher risks from environmental disasters, food insecurity, and displacement, often bearing the brunt of increased labor in collecting water and fuel.

No country in the world has achieved gender equality, yet more than half of the world's population are women. We need real and trackable commitments in meeting the needs of all women, including those w/ disabilities. To all women in their diversity, Happy Int'l Women's day! #IWD

Climclusive is a disability and youth led organisation in Kenya that aims to empower young persons with disabilities on issues around climate change whilst addressing other intersectional barriers With support from the Africa Oxford Initiative and University of Oxford graduates, we invite young people (with and without disabilities) from Kenya to apply to our climate school that will take place in March and April 2026. The course aims to educate scholars to climate topics such as net zero, agriculture, climate finance, peace & Security, biodiversity, governance and its relation to humanity. We seek both individuals and organisational representatives from across fields to share, learn and network so as to promote Climate Justice. Relevant information about the school: 🌱The course will be conducted in English 🌱Selected scholars will access the course for free 🌱The course will be delivered virtually twice a week between March and April, while encouraging group tasks and presentations. 🌱Participation certificates will be available once a scholar has met a threshold amount of attendance. 🌱Other benefits include supported mentorship to apply to Oxford University 🌱All applications should be submitted by 21st Feb, 2026. We need governments to be accountable to promoting Inclusive #SRHR4PWDs and All Health practitioners to fully promote accessibility and quality of services for PWDs.

According to the UN convention on the rights of persons with disabilities, article 25 highlights the need of having equitable Sexual & Reproductive Health services for PWDs, but most member states have not put in place sustainable mechanisms to promote this right!! #SRHR4PWDs
