@DRPS I'm tired of seeing the term "youth" in these reports. It's time to start naming and shaming and charging parents. If we can charge someone for raising and releasing a dangerous animal into the community, we should be able to charge them for raising and releasing a dangerous kid.
Today, families and friends across Canada gather to celebrate the Persian New Year — to welcome rebirth and the importance of ushering in light that triumphs over darkness.
In this time of new conflicts and global uncertainty, this celebration of renewal and optimism is especially meaningful.
To the Iranian-Canadian community and all those celebrating, happy Nowruz.
@MarkJCarney In this economy, why does this guy need to jet around the world. When was the last time we even saw him in Canada. Christ, it's 2026 this could have been a zoom call.
Le Canada renforce son partenariat avec le Japon afin de consolider notre sécurité commune, de multiplier les possibilités et de favoriser la prospérité des deux côtés du Pacifique.
@RobFisher1971@brianlilley You don't punch your friend in the face and then turn around and ask for help while still punching them.
USA has such a toxic relationship with the whole world - they should go sit in their corner and think about what they've done for a bit before anyone will help.
@brianlilley How did you misread that? He literally said it was a test to see if anybody would step up or not... The US does not need help. They are the mega power.
Donald Trump has been trying to get other countries to help the USA deal with the Strait of Hormuz.
So far, not much success.
But now it looks like he’s saying the US might just finish off the regime and leave the Strait to other countries to sort out.
Why do I want to pay half a million dollars to live in an apartment?! If I wanted to hear my upstairs neighbors banging around all the time, I'll keep renting.
@CityNewsTO Mobile homes would be great for young people who want a home, not an apartment, but are just starting out. There used to be low-income trailer communities all over and now we rip them all out to build overpriced condos that people can't afford, nor want to live in.
@66qjzsx679@MarkJCarney What do you mean "double minimum wage"?? You want to be a sandwich artist at subway making $36/hour?
How about we re-add middle management jobs back into our economy..
Canadians buy made-in-Canada goods to support their local businesses and local economies.
We’re doing the same, at scale, with the Buy Canadian Policy — by building housing, infrastructure, and defence projects with Canadian materials, Canadian technology, and Canadian workers.
I don't really know what's happening in the world right now, because I live in Canada and the news is biased. I can't believe anything on the internet anymore. How are we supposed to evaluate risk and participate in world issues?
@his4Everz You’d be shocked to know that there was a group chat in which they all spoke about doing this stuff…You’d be shocked to know whom all is still on this app that was in it…I mean shocked…
@CrazyVibes_1 The app is already taking a crazy amount in "fees" - where is that money going? Take it up with your company, because thats the price of convenience for me..
If you can afford to have food delivered straight to your front door, you can afford to tip at least $20. Period.
You’re not just paying for tacos. You’re paying for somebody to:
• Use their own car
• Use their own gas
• Put miles on their engine
• Sit in traffic
• Wait at the restaurant
• Bring it directly to your door
All because you didn’t feel like going to get it yourself.
Delivery is a luxury. It’s convenience. It’s comfort. It’s somebody else handling the errand while you sit at home in pajamas.
And before somebody says “that’s their job”….yes, and tips are how gig drivers actually make their money. The base pay on apps like DoorDash is not what you think it is.
If you can drop $60 on dinner, you can drop $20 on the person bringing it to you.
If $20 feels like too much, maybe pickup is the better option.
Respect the hustle. Respect the gas. Respect the time.
I'm not sure how people are just living regular life and going to work everyday.
I'm just staring at my computer screen thinking about how much I don't give a shit about Power BI and wondering why people aren't angrier that rich p*dophiles are eating babies and running the world.
@DarkWisdomWoman@heyjustpray@MatthewCoast Plus when they do enter the workforce, it's expected that they will leave work every time Johnny is sick and has to go home since they seem to be the main caregiver.
@heyjustpray@MatthewCoast Thats a lie. People discriminate age. Women cant sit out of the job market for yearrrssss and expect to be a viable candidate
JUST WONDERING HOW MOMS are supposed to work 9-5, drop the kids off at school at 8 AM, pick them up by 3 PM, stay on top of school activities, meal prep, cook dinner, keep the house clean, do the laundry, run the kids to extracurricular activities, climb the corporate ladder, save sick days for when the kids are sick, be a good friend, daughter, and partner, all while trying to take care of their own body and mental health…
@DRPS Yeah, we are going to need more information..
Did the victim know these suspects?Businesses were still open at that time. How are we supposed to tell people to come downtown Oshawa if they might get stabbed walking down the street?
