A bit sad that ppl enjoy battle shonen stories that much and ignore stuff that cook slow like dungeon meshi, to ur eternity etc

@7oh5villai8ar0 @AniRave He's right. I have a friend that finds both Frieren and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood too boring. His favorite anime is Reincarnated as a slime, which he rewatched about 5 times. He also left his PC below a malfunctioning air conditioner and was surprised it got soaked.

“Better” based on what though? Frieren / Dungeon Meshi / Witch Hat = system-driven, introspective fantasy Rezero / OP / Made in Abyss = more plot-driven stories Not even the same axis. The fact that trio is being grouped together says more about a shift in the genre than anything else. (Also OP isn’t even the same kind of story.) Rezero and MiA are great, but they’re not really touching the same kind of thematic depth Frieren or Witch Hat go for. (I’ll just pretend Mushoku Tensei isn’t part of this conversation.)
