@_celia_bedelia_ Ooof yes. I have a condition called lipoedema that affects 11% of women and causes fat that can’t be metabolised or lost without surgery. The number of doctors who don’t even know it exists bc it’s a women’s condition and we should “just lose weight”

as a fat woman, trying to get answers about my pelvic pain was even more challenging because it was always about “have to you tried losing weight” and not about “well it could be endo.” About 10 years ago i asked my (very good!) gyno if PCOS might be the cause of my pain.

@aaronhoyland Mum got my chin in the bike helmet when I was tiny and I’m 31 now and still remember it 😂 I used to make her loosen it all the way before she clipped it then tighten it

Someone took a screenshot of one of my tweets and emailed it to my work demanding they fire me. It eventually ended up on the CEO’s desk. After long discussion with me (CEO), I chose to not fire myself.

@isabelkaplan My husband built me an entire website when I mentioned I wanted to start a food blog. Now it’s my job and he manages all the tech side of things because he’s amazing at it and I find it hard, and gets on every call I have with me bc my adhd brain finds them tricky.

One of our relatives is obsessed with my daughter’s weight (“you’re too skinny”, “you eat nothing”, etc). At Christmas dinner my husband firmly told her she’d have to leave if she made another comment and I would’ve married him again right there if I could
