The US has just vetoed another ceasefire resolution in the UN Security Council, and, in doing so, proves once again to the world that it is fully committed to the continuation of the genocide in Palestine. Even as we seek accountability for Israeli perpetrators, we must also seek accountability for complicit US actors. Israeli/US impunity threatens the entire world. And the UN must now move to take concrete action in the UNGA.

Israel has intentionally blocked aid in Gaza, targeted humanitarian workers & has now banned Gaza’s primary aid lifeline, UNRWA.
Starvation is being used as a weapon of war.
Words aren’t enough. We need sanctions, a full arms embargo & for the Israeli Ambassador to be expelled.

Team LALY & the entire legal aid family is mourning the loss of one of the very best of us. Simon won our 2020 Social Welfare Law award & was described as 'a legal aid warrior' & 'ebullient force of nature'. He will be hugely missed by all of us. Thoughts with his beloved family.

@DSBernardi Credit where it is due, service in relation to Homeless Appeals at Birmingham County Court is top notch.

Also, this is for a homelessness appeal issued in December 2023. For which I still don't have a hearing date, and all of my chasers have been ignored.
It pains me to make formal complaints against the Court, whose office is no doubt woefully understaffed, but this is a joke.

Phenomenal.
Just got a directions order from Central London County Court, dated 24 July 2024. The first direction is on 12 April 2024.
Truly magnificent, and I am not at all concerned about the health of the County Court.
