@NicolasZu I just use multiple typescript files e.g. ItemLibrary, EnemyLibrary, WeaponLibrary, etc. Strongly typed AI integration. Though I'm realizing it would be awesome to be able to view and edit those files as a dense spreadsheet instead of as a tall/sparse POJO

For all gamedevs and complex app designers out there. I think I found a really clever way to scaling production. 1. Mirror your game systems in a spreadsheet (ask your AI to do it) 2. One tab per system to scale. For instance I have one tab for "buildings", one for "missions", "items", "maps", "enemies", "recipes", etc. 3. Use an MCP, CLI or direct connector to allow Codex or Claude Code to read and write 4. Then I built specific skills like /add-building, /add-mission, /add-map The workflow becomes 1. I design my game in the spreadsheet, like a new "Nuclear Reactor" building: I type everything I want: size, goal, 3D prompt, etc. 2. I run "/add-building nuclear reactor" 3. The skill uses what's in the spreadsheet as context 4. Review and done. Makes it super easy to have scalable systems and the spreadsheet is so nice to have an overview and design your game. I hope it helps

Conversations tend to go better with a face and a voice. That’s why we’re thrilled to release the beta version of the first video chat skill for ANY agent, powered by our new real-time model, PikaStream1.0. The skill preserves memory and personality, and enables real-time adaptability. And if you use it with your Pika AI Self, they’ll be able to execute agentic tasks during the call 💅

@RedDawn_Dev I was a member of Black Maze Interactive. The December 2024 attempted coup in South Korea caused our investors to pull out due to the political sensitivity of military gear aspect in the game. In short, we lost the funding to continue developing the game 🥹

@navtechai > struggles with architecture True, I often find that, even given good examples, it can create some dubious architecture. It can take you a long way (treating a subsystem as an isolated black box), revisit later when/if it becomes a problem. It might also be a time bomb 😂

@navtechai It still needs a strong guiding hand, but that's a separate issue. By contrast, I'm saying that you can't get an AI agent to write your UE5 blueprint for you, nor place an object in the world, nor fully write + wire up a custom shader. In Three.js you can.

If you know how to program but have never made a game before, you should consider #threejs! You get: - amazing UI layer - tons of libs, open source - instant distribution model - package as .exe for Steam - AI agents can assist at every level This ~240fps in browser

@AtelierElysara Electron? Mostly it's like having an isolated chromium runtime. You do still have an actual executable running on end user's machine, so you could do as much or as little as you want with that.

@cluckworksgames yeah in a game engine you actually have to know what you're doing (to a degree, i stumble around godot docs looking for answers more than i actually code lol), but you're not forced into browser-only releases and you get all the nice game engine stuff for free like you said

@Colonthreee I always appreciate a small game though. Animal Well, for instance, I think it's like 28mb? Very impressively cool to download it ~instantly!

@Colonthreee it's a tradeoff for sure, can you distribute your game as a website though if you wanted? My perspective is that in today's world of 80~140gb games, people aren't really going to be too mad about an extra 500mb

@AtelierElysara I don't think there's a game engine out there where the entire surface can be controlled by an LLMs yet (except Three.js). It's a unique superpower rn. I can't automate many tedious things in UE. OTOH, engines give you a lot for free that you'd have to code manually in Three.js

@Colonthreee Yeah, I'd recommend electron for consistency, though tauri/etc is an option if you're braver. I don't think it's worth the tradeoff though. I think in the grand scheme of things, it's maybe 300~500mb for electron? music/videos/models/etc all add up as well, so not too bad
