In the 1950s and early 1960s there was a general impression that Venus was a near earth like planet. This in spite of its orbit where it's year is shorter than it's sidereal day (basically only rotates once per orbit) thus has no weather nor climate as we understand it.
So in the 1950s we find that many 'experiencers' place the point of origin of their 'contacts' at Venus. Knowing that hominid Life, especially advanced life would not be possible on Venus, we can instantly dismiss this as fabrication. Maybe it was bullshit told to a human by an actual space alien, or maybe the human just invented it ala corey goode bullshit. Either way it's not factual.
This also explains away the whole of the 'valiant thor' mythos from the late 1950s as he was supposedly from venus as well.
