Energy enthusiasts: a startup I know is looking to save people money on their elec bills and carbon. Can you help by taking a quick survey (5-7 mins) about current energy usage and views on time-of-use tariffs: can you help? forms.gle/EUjMiE8ngAA6FN…

@bookauthority Thanks! Happy to share this but the page seems very very slow to load. Is this a temporary glitch?

Son is now old enough that I’m learning London Gen Alpha -isms. Liking ‘touching grass’ - to go outside (with the implication of having taken a break from gaming). E.g. ‘You been touching grass, bruh?’

Off on a painfully short work trip to Australia soon. Not been before. I have one day for sightseeing in Sydney when I arrive. What to do? Harbour area seems like the obvious thing, but grateful for tips. Thanks!

@clurr @webprofusion There are very cute ferries - public transport - that leave from near the Opera House. I like the trip out to Bondi Beach but shorter trips are available. Botonic garden near the Opera House is lovely to wander in.

@clurr Get the sticky chicken from the harbour bridge restaurants. The Chinatown area of Sydney is also nice spot. I can see a theme developing.. Sightseeing tour bus is often the easiest way to really see a city. Starting to get colder and rainy, so be prepared!

@webprofusion Thanks! I know I won’t see much in a day. Off to Newcastle and Canberra for much of the rest of the week, with a final night in Sydney. Just trying to make the most of the time I have.

@clurr To really see the area though you'd probably venture the the blue mountains and that's maybe too much for a short stay. Proper Australia is red dirt and people looking quizzically at you, but you'll be a long way from that :)

@katebevan Staying in the CBD, so easy for harbour area. Just wondering if there’s something else I should try to fit in. Thanks!

@clurr Where are you staying? Botanic Gardens are lovely and well worth a stroll. It'll be getting chilly, so take a jacket!

To understand how real consumers use energy, we need to uncover both *what* they do, and *why*. My colleagues Judith (researcher) and Irene (data scientist) wrote about how we at @energysyscat Living Lab combine smart meter data with qual insights. es.catapult.org.uk/insight/combin…

Have you developed a consumer energy tech product/service which you trialled b4 market launch? Would you be open to a quick chat about innovation spend & cost of trials? Asking as considering pricing, not selling anything. I’m interested in energy tech, not building fabric. Ta!
