There are examples in gaming history where perfect balance did not = success, it was just very mundane.
Halo started as one of the most competitive games ever.. Dyk the games vision was to be a FPS Mario Party? Not competitive?

Dino is out of place, and should not be in this game. This aint fortnite we dont need more jeff architype heros. they wont sell more skins than the heros like Psy or Sue, and they make the game seem so unserious, and are bad for game balance. No ones ever heard of this character in rivals and they shouldve kept it that way

@Jordan456257099 @marcus77francis My main criticism of Halo 5's MP is the maps. They're some of the worst in a "competitive" FPS. Tyrant might be the worst map I've played in a video game ever.
I wouldn't call Halo 5 "sweaty." It's claustrophobic, so it feels oppressive. Spawn trapping is easy and ruins games.

It's pretty shocking how Microsoft neglected MCC.
I have a Halo itch but unfortunately Infinite is trash, Halo 5 is sweaty, MCC has some of the worst UI/matchmaking system in a game. Also constant cheaters.
The only thing I can realistically play is BTB but the map rotations are terrible with Reach and 3 being the only thing being played.

@MK1is4casuals going in someone’s stream to ego them is weird. Especially in a game with no stats, leaderboards, or any competitive scene.
Also, Marathon is so poorly optimized, that maybe in other games PC has a huge advantage because of the FPS and etc., but it isn’t a huge difference 😭

First-time chatter said this to me while I was playing Ranked last night.
For a game like Marathon that caters to ungodly amount of utility spam and AA, there are so many people with egoes. It actually blows my mind.
I genuinely think Destiny 2 forces more primary gunfights.

People mistaken it as a way to upgrade weapons but thats only one side of it.
Its one mode that other FPS do not have and because they have not taken it serious, cod numbers have dropped. Listen!

@airbagged2077 It doesn't have to be both. It can be either or. If I play a competitive FPS shooter my peformance directly affects if my team wins or loses due to my control. If I play an RPG my choices in the game can change the narrative. It doesn't appear either really matters in Mixtape.

@beeeeeeau WoW is worse than competitive games. With a game like League or a FPS, the game ends and you might be tilted but there's always a fresh game.
With WoW if you fell behind you were relegated to the shitters. It wasn't satisfying like a competitive game. It was farming. Time spent.
