I think it makes perfect sense that the people who get disproportionate scrutiny over their beauty 24/7 (especially this girl, who's experienced it against her will since she basically formed consciousness) would get some beauty enhancing procedures and its not really the same thing as becky who works at the corner store who's just some random bitch no one has ever heard of and isn't facing 24/7 harassment about how she looks and confined to that discourse until the day she literally fucking dies

@THemingford Coffee shop waitress isn’t a job you do when you want to pay a mortgage and have kids. It’s a summer job for young kids. If you want to make it “cover the cost of living” then coffee (and everything else especially food) gets more expensive as with every minimum wage increase.

The part that is heinous to me is that the music itself is predicated on authenticity, vulnerability, and being genuine. It’s art, it speaks to people. It’s sacred, and manufacturing its legitimacy completely degrades its purpose. It’s offensive.

you’re right, people in SF are paying even more than that. horrible example. chicago is a great city, many people move there for the same reasons as new york. seattle is not in the same category whatsoever. DC would have been a better one here. also a great city with these same amenities.
