@chumbawalden it’s amazing!! i went in 2019 and stayed in San Blas—it’s up in the hills above the city center so it has amazing views but lots of stairs. adjusting to altitude is no joke! i took some altitude sickness pills at first but they made my arms and legs tingle?

@cm_leclair Go to tools>preferences>substitutions then insert the small dash (whatever it's called) in the Replace column. Copy paste an em dash in the With column. It should then update automatically when you do the small dash

the rate at which i get mad that google docs doesn't automatically turn "--" into an em dash is minimum once a day!!!!!!!!!!

hearing a lot of noise in the comments re: "option+shift+dash" which yes, appears to be a solution, HOWEVER, i would prefer to live in a world where "--" does this for me and i think that world is possible.
