WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE?
THE ANSWER GIVEN BY WISE MONK WILL SURPRISE YOU
A man once asked a wise monk:
“Master… what is the purpose of life?
Why are we here if everything eventually disappears?”
The monk smiled gently and asked him,
“Have you ever watched a sunrise?”
“Yes,” the man replied.
“And does the sunrise stay forever?”
“No.”
“Then why do people still stop to admire it?”
The man became silent.
The monk continued softly:
“Life was never meant to last forever.
Its beauty comes from its impermanence.
The flower blooms… then falls.
The seasons arrive… then change.
People enter our lives… then leave.
And because of this, every moment becomes precious.”
The man lowered his eyes.
“But if everything ends… what is the point of loving, trying, or dreaming?”
The monk picked up a candle and lit it.
“This candle will not burn forever,” he said.
“But while it burns… it gives light.”
The man watched quietly.
The monk then said something he never forgot:
“The purpose of life is not to become immortal.
It is to learn how to truly live before you die.”
“To love deeply without attachment.
To grow through suffering instead of becoming bitter.
To help others where you can.
To understand yourself.
To find peace within your own mind.”
The man asked softly,
“And what happens when life becomes painful?”
The monk smiled gently.
“Pain is part of waking up.
Many people only begin searching for truth after suffering breaks their illusions.”
Then the monk pointed toward the sky and said:
“Birds do not spend their lives asking the meaning of the wind.
They simply learn how to fly through it.”
The man sat quietly as tears filled his eyes.
And the monk spoke one final time:
“The purpose of life is not to control everything.
It is to experience life fully with awareness, compassion, gratitude, and presence.
To love.
To learn.
To awaken.
And to leave this world a little kinder than you found it.”

I get why some people think this is AI, but it's 100% real! 🐬
Dolphins have been blowing these underwater bubble rings known as toroidal vortices.
They create them near the surface by releasing a precise pulse of air from their blowhole as they glide downward, which naturally rolls the air into a perfect spinning loop or ring
They do this purely for entertainment, curiosity and play, showing just how intelligent they are.
Because they understand water pressure they can nudge the ring with their snout or blow a tiny pulse of water at it, this alters the pressure field causing a single spinning loop to perfectly split into two separate rings.
This is only one of the many things they can do but its super impressive!
Nature is truly amazing

it's wild how much people underestimate the dragonfly! Most people think of lions or leopards as the ultimate predators but they don't even come close to this master of precision
I recently just learned about dragonflies watching a David Attenborough doc, some fun facts...
While a lion only catches prey about 25% of the time, the dragonfly has a staggering 95% kill rate. Once it locks on it's game over.
Calculated Interception-they don't waste energy trailing behind their target, instead they anticipate its next move, predicting exactly where it’s going to fly and snatching it out of thin air before it even knows what happened.
Independent Wing Control-They can move all four wings completely independently, allowing them to fly backward, hover like a drone, and pivot instantly.
360 Degree Vision-Their eyes cover almost their entire head, letting them track high speed movement without a single blind spot.
Nature’s absolute ultimate hunter is flying around right in our backyards!
Amazing 🤯

My mum lives on a farming estate, when I visit and take the dog for a walk we eat from season to season off the land, we go from field to field and cut our own broccoli, take some carrots, go down to the egg bit where you can see the chickens that have laid them. We get fresh strawberries and raspberries and then the farmer gives us fresh cream, num num num 😋
You just have to smell the air and no it's the proper stuff, cannot beat organic fresh food.
Good luck with growing your own, definitely worth it!

Planted some fruit trees today because honestly…
I’m tired of buying fruit in the UK that tastes like it’s been through three board meetings and a divorce
No flavour. No life. Just sadness in a plastic tray
So yeah, I’m growing my own now.
Might take a while, but at least I know it came from actual soil and not some mysterious warehouse dimension 😅
