Holding a winner (a position with a sizable gain) through a drawdown allows it to breathe and potentially continue the run. One may add more shares on the drawdown if the fundamentals still hold true. Holding a loser (a new position that immediately turns into a loss) "until it comes back" burns your capital. Don't allow an immediate small mistake turn into a larger portfolio destroyer. Cutting a loss at 10% is easy to fix. Waiting until it's down 50% requires a substantial move just to get to even. Don't bag hold losing postions. Cut losses early. Let winners breathe.

This is original bids for @IPL that were awarded on 24th January 2008 in mumbai at cricket center at 12:00 pm. The bids were converted into rupees on that day. One dollar was 40 rupees on that morning. So one can just judge the true value appreciation today. 🙏🏽 further the amount bid was spread out to be paid evenly over 10 years. Many teams were in profit post year one itself. So the amount came out of their cash flow. So value appreciation is far greater than what the media conceives it to be. Actual numbers each team spent to buy the team will show up only in company filings with registrar of the company. So check that for accuracy and true value appreciation.

There are multiple pages on Instagram from Ayurveda students fantasizing violence and torture on me, because I have been relentless in educating future students to stay away from alternative medicine as a career. There are huge numbers of current alternative medicine students in India going through an existential crisis because of debates on science and pseudoscience. I really sympathize with them.
