From March 6, 1990, here's the intro for #Sabres vs. #Capitals followed by Pierre Turgeon's game-tying goal.

I am overjoyed to bring you the inspiring story of Clint Malarchuk. You will be captivated by Clint & his perseverance in the face of a series of traumatic challenges. You will also meet Clint’s wife Joanie, whose love & support played an integral role in Clint’s Fight for Life.

One of my favorite ever #Sabres moments at the Memorial Auditorium was when Clint Malarchuk relieved Jacques Cloutier with 5:28 to go in the game against the #Nordiques on April 2, 1989, only ten days after his neck injury! Clint came out to a standing ovation while his teammates took shots on him. Here is that moment. Sorry it's in French! Maybe @martybiron43 can translate. “I really was like holy shit, I am dying. I am dying right now.” Clint Malarchuk’s jugular was slit mid game and was doing a press conference the next day. The ultimate #HockeyGuy. barstool.link/spittin-chicle…
