Deeply saddened by the tragic passing of 16-year-old rookie lifeguard Norman Inferrera III this weekend.   Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his Cape May Beach Patrol colleagues, and the entire Cape May community.

We are devastated to announce the tragic loss of Lifeguard Norman V. Inferrera III following his on-duty accident. Our sincerest condolences to the family, and our deepest gratitude to those sending their support and well wishes. CMBP will forever remember Norman.

As seasonal employees return to school, less populated beaches will begin closing. Beach remains open but always swim near a lifeguard.
