Quality support for families in the early years => better outcomes throughout childhood. More evidence from @TheIFS that Sure Start - offering ante/post-natal health services, parenting support, early learning & childcare, & parental employment support - made a real difference⬇️
Huge financial pressure on public services but some cuts can actually create even more demand & increased cost. Real wasted cost often lies in the gaps between the fragmentation of silo public services, repeated assessment & referrals but untangling this mess is rarely attempted

A lovely start to the day on the @RCOT_CYPF F Words workshop follow up with @LucyCha98129242 & Arul reflecting on our use of the tools. Lots of discussion about how using the tools help shift families away from a deficit focus and gain rich, meaningful information 👏🏻
Earlier today we took evidence on amendments to the UNCRC Bill ahead of the Bill's reconsideration by @ScotParl. @Ulgrid from @together_sacr told us what children and young people had told her about rights ⬇
