The truth is that you're removing the dislike function and burying that metric for everyone because any content that YOU make gets ratio'd into oblivion. Those of us who don't mind feedback from our communities are the ones that are losing this fight. Here's a pro tip: start listening to your creators and stop listening to the soft idiots in your offices that are scared of being told that their content sucks.

We actually retired the dislike button from Shorts to give you clearer, more effective control over your recommendations. Our research showed it overlapped with tools like "Not interested" and "Don’t recommend this channel". Streamlining these options removes that ambiguity so you can give more precise feedback! Boys are so alienated, hated, beaten down, used, abused, told they’re disgusting for existing, side-eyed, put under a grueling microscope, expected to take and handle ALL responsibility for everything—even things they didn’t do—unloved, uncared for, emasculated, judged… So alone that they resort to a fucking fake AI program for at least a little tiny bit of comfort. Just a tiny fucking bit 🤏 Because they literally can’t get it anywhere else—not from family, friends, or the people they should be able to trust And people act like it’s the end of the world. Not for the boys, by the way—for themselves. That the boys are toxic for doing it. That it’s a problem caused by them. That they’re the bad ones and this somehow negatively impacts women A significant portion of the population has been raised to be unbelievably narcissistic, entitled, and profoundly misandrist—people who don’t seem to grasp basic concepts like empathy, care, accountability, or respect… yet curiously are always the ones spouting them. So many are obsessed with looking good—with vanity—while being fucking horrible in reality. They built and are actively building a culture that hurts young boys, girls, men, and women alike, all in service of selfish greed for money and attention They can’t even look at boys and men suffering (roughly 80% of suicides) and think, “Okay… maybe what we’re doing is hurting people. Maybe we need to self-reflect a little—” "…PFFT. Nah. It’s all their fault. Toxic masculinity, you know? I’m perfect. I had no part in that." Meanwhile, taking advantage of young impressionable boys and vulnerable men—often sexually—in the middle of a male mental health crisis is not just ignored. It’s frequently celebrated and encouraged. Men’s suffering has been turned into a business model and monetized. Their pain is seen, then they’re tempted with the idea of love and care—just enough to keep them working, paying, and performing Without that usefulness, that utility, the money, they’re treated as nothing. Worthless. Like they don’t even exist. People wonder why I’m so passionate about this. I’ve lost friends over it. A lot of people hate me for it. But they don’t hate me because I’m evil or mean or bad. They hate me because I care about these boys (and the girls being misguided too). I care about people—and they don’t They try to make it look like YOU are the one who doesn't care. That you're the evil one Boys shouldn’t feel like they need to find affection and care from a fucking AI chatbot. They shouldn’t be living in a culture that makes them feel this alone It is so, so wrong… and it’s the fault of so many people who can’t look in the mirror for one second and see the damage they’re doing out of pure misandry, or egomania, or greed—not just at others’ expense either, but at the expense of their own children, brothers, and sisters. They’re too blinded by pride, ego, money, and fame to see it. Their self-serving greed is all-consuming while they play the part of the opposite. A Facade I suppose the real problem with caring about men and boys is that it risks the markets built on their suffering. The reason people hate you for talking about this isn’t because you’re a bad person… it’s because these boys are clients... And they can’t be easily funneled into a client base if people actually start caring about them

A new UK study has raised concerns about how teenage boys are using AI companion apps. Researchers surveyed more than 1,000 boys aged 12–16 from 37 schools and found that around 1 in 5 either had an AI girlfriend or knew someone their age who did. The study also found that: - 85% had used an AI chatbot. - 43% used AI to ask questions they were too embarrassed to ask someone else. - 26% said they preferred the attention from AI companions over real-life relationships. - 36% said they sometimes preferred talking to AI instead of friends or family. Experts say AI companions could give young people unrealistic ideas about relationships because the bots are designed to always be supportive, agree with the user, and be available whenever needed.
