@Cjblamen There are public D3 schools in multiple states, including New York, Wisconsin, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and some others. Also, there is no way of knowing whether you can or cannot afford a school unless you go through the process. Ex: filling out & submitting the FAFSA

You don’t play in AAU tournaments to “develop”… You choose the right AAU program to help you develop, that also plays in the right tournaments to help you be seen and recruited

What translates at every level: • Decision making 🧠 • Playing off 2 feet • Defensive effort 🛑 • Toughness 💪 Talent gets attention. Winning traits get you on the floor.

Ppl are saying that AAU is only for exposure and college coaches. They are missing the fact that AAU is actually really good for development. Playing other top kids and different programs from across North America not only lets you know where you’re at, it also helps you develop.

If you are a 2027 with zero D1 offers or high level D2 offers at this point there's really nothing good that can come by tagging D1 colleges on social media. They're not coming to watch and it's only going to discourage the schools who might be interested in you from continuing to recruit you. The transfer portal is overflowing with D1 talent and D2 players with college experience. Some D1 colleges aren't even getting out right now to recruit because they're fully in the portal. Spots are extremely limited at the D1 and D2 levels at this point for 2027s with most of the first priority offers being made. So it's a good idea to relish every NAIA/D3/JUCO look with the understanding that the higher level offers might not be coming. Private messages are the most effective way to communicate with college coaches and not discourage current coaches from continuing to recruit you.

I love the cycle of, coach reaches out about player, saying how player would be a great addition to the program and their so interested etc. I reach out to said player, they don’t respond lol 😂

Recruits: please entertain options at the D2/D3/NAIA & JUCO levels. If it doesn’t fit financially, say no. But at least entertain it and take it seriously.
