Coaches as U.S Presidents For fun, here's a President's Day comparison of coaches who have similarities to the U.S. Presidents... George Washington - Bill Walsh. Both built the system, were calm, set the standard, and left when they didn't have to. Thomas Jefferson - Mike Leach Innovative thinkers, big idea guys. They thought differently than everyone else. Brilliant but quirky. Andrew Jackson - Bill Parcells Both tough, blunt, and not here to be liked. Polarizing but undeniably effective. Abraham Lincoln - Nick Saban Both considered the best, both probably misunderstood, and both had to change "coordinators" a lot Ulysses S Grant - Mike McCarthy Both won big but then kind of messy at their jobs after the big win. Franklin Roosevelt - Bill Belichick Both took over in crisis and built a dynasty, not real flashy. Harry Truman - Steve Spurrier Straight shooters who had that "buck stops here" energy. John Kennedy - Sean McVay Both young, charismatic, and inspirational. High energy, big presence, and the ladies like them. Lyndon Johnson - Urban Meyer Both masters of relationships and pressure tactics, and got the job done... but messy behind the scenes. Richard Nixon - Jim Harbaugh Very intelligent strategists, both had a "us v. them" mentality, but always with the drama... Ronald Reagan - Jimmy Johnson Great communicators who built winning cultures quickly. Both knew how to manage the spotlight. Bill Clinton - Lane Kiffin Both extremely talented and smart, both charismatic but always getting "distracted". But both always a way back and are successful. Probably one of the biggest defensive plays I made this past season came against Lakeland. Momentum is huge factor in sports this clip shows me taking on block but not losing sight of the ball and tackling the QB on a 4th & goal. This shutdown any momentum my opponent had in opening drive of the 3rd quarter and allowing my team cruise to victory against Lakeland. I have no idea what the future holds but I do know I will miss playing football and especially with my teammates who I grew up with. Let’s go Vikes!! @VernonVikingsFB
