Missouri Scoop offers up our condolences to the family and friends of Coach Stan Kee and the Carrolton Football community.
From Chik Miller via Facebook:
"A Sad day for all of us Carrollton Trojans. The passing of a Legend Coach Kee. You can count on one hand the men in your life that has made a difference in your life. One who can bring the best out of you, one who you have so much respect for, a father figure.
If it was on the football field. Red Rage or the old gravel track. Stride with Pride. Those things are installed in your heart and mind forever. All the former players now coaching, all of his players who went and played at the next level, the long list of
All State players. To all the other coaches he helped. Coach Kee is truly everywhere. To each and every home game we are blessed to be playing on the field that he is named after, and so much more. Are you hurt or are you injured. 3 things happen when you pass and two of them are bad. It did not matter if it was 5th and 6th grade football on a Saturday morning he was there. On the hill by the BBQ grill watching. At the Jr. High games. At practice you would look up that hill we all hated to run and there he was. Taking it all in. That weight room in the summers or the track in the spring.
Coach Brad Gaines said it best. The coaching world across the state of Missouri and especially in the Missouri River Valley Conference lost one of it's finest.
His players and fellow coaches loved and respected him so much. They don't make-em like Coach Kee anymore. Well said. We would eat nails for him. We believed in him and he brought the best out of all us. We will miss you Coach. Class of 91."
