RECRUITS: Let’s talk college JV programs… - Don’t blindly apply your HS JV lens to every college opportunity - EVERY program w/ a JV treats it different. Ask coaches how they use/view theirs. - Some are *amazing development tools and highly valued! - Yes, some are “money grabs”

Stop looking at "levels" as high or low. If you're Power-4, yeah, you're at "higher" level. But beyond that (D1, D2, NAIA, D3, JUCO, whatever), it's all about specific situations, program philosophies, & FIT. There's "levels to the other levels"...do your homework & get educated!

There's so many student-athletes playing on AAU teams with "Elite" on their chest that they're starting to believe all their skills are...well..."elite". Ex: "I'm an elite shooter, Coach!" (checks stats and they shot 30% from 3 and 68% from FT line). You keep using that word...

6 months ago felt weakness in my legs and my vision was doubled. Ambulance ride to the Tufts ER I was having a stroke. 4 days in the hospital, then 12 days at Spaulding Rehab. The first day at rehab I could walk 40 feet - awkwardly, my speech was odd,couldn’t open my right eye.

I can never understand how a high school athlete can be at a club tournament, playing in front of dozens of college coaches, and still show a bad attitude, no hustle, and no effort. That’s a wasted opportunity for the athlete, the parents sacrificing time and money, the college coaches recruiting, and the teammates beside them. College coaches notice EVERYTHING, not just talent. They notice body language, energy, communication, effort, and how you respond when things aren’t going your way.
