Deion Sanders said, "I want to see you practice. Because how you practice is who you are." Greatness isn't built on hype. It's built in the quiet moments - when nobody's watching. Preparation. Consistency. Effort. (@DeionSanders)

Every parent, coach and player should listen to this. Maybe listen twice just to let it sink in.

Mike Tomlin said, "The things that made you viable in the past aren't going to make you viable moving forward." Excellence isn't a moment - it's the mindset. It's the daily standard that you set. Here's how to make excellence a daily habit:🧵

Nick Saban said, "Everything starts with discipline." "It's what are you willing to accept from yourself." Discipline isn't punishment. It's a choice. • A choice to be consistent. • A choice to put in the work. • A choice to demand more from yourself.

“Being uncomfortable and learning the processes of being uncomfortable and knowing that on the other side of an uncomfortable situation is growth.” Embrace the discomfort. It’s where you grow, where you separate yourself. The ones who push through it? They’re the ones who win.

Merry Christmas everyone. But more than that I hope you have a Blessed Christmas. And if you want to know what that means there’s probably not a better source than Linus. He explained it to Charlie Brown almost 60 years ago in a Christmas Special that has become an American favorite. In 1965 it was extremely daring to have Linus recite from the Bible on prime time television. It probably wouldn’t even happen today and the network executives did not want it as part of the show then. But Charles Schultz, the creator of Peanuts, was a strong Christian man and he wouldn’t back down. Schultz’s conviction resulted not only in Charlie Brown learning the true meaning of Christmas but in Luke Chapter 2 being heard by millions of people every year at Christmas time.

“If you want to be good, you really don’t have a lot of choices because it takes what it takes. You have to do what you have to do to be successful. You have to make choices and have the discipline, focus on the process of what you need to do to accomplish your goals,” Nick Saban

"When talent meets talent, talent is no longer enough. Now it's about character. Now it's about preparation. Now it's about consistency. Now it's about who is relentless -who wants it the most." @inkyjohnson Talent is required, but habits and character divide good from great.

Champions don’t focus on competing with an opponent. Champions compete to be better today than they were yesterday. There is a need to improve in defeat or victory-even in the smallest way. Nothing to prove-a lot to accomplish.
