✅ Just because you're a FROSH doesn't mean you can't be a leader. ✅ Just because you're a SOPH doesn't mean you learned it all last year. ✅ Just because you're a JR doesn't mean you get to be on varsity. ✅ Just because you're a SR doesn't mean you get to start.

This past year I was amazed with the success that many former NAIA players had at the D1 level. This has been a trend for a few years. This is a direct reflection of the skill level that the NAIA has. The NAIA is a high level of basketball! #NAIA

What was the biggest difference between HS and college you ask. Weight room. Guy on the left refused to work out because he played basketball. Played NAIA JV last year, gained almost 15 lbs and now playing varsity. Did not grow past 5’8, just prepared for physicality.

A good defensive team can keep in the game during those games where nothing will work offensively.

After being told he was to little and to get off the big boys court, just a little swipe and score. Also was key to late game run and big victory. Keep playing this way @Brodieteke you dealt with it in HS and you can deal with it at the college level.

One day, it all stops. No more buses. No more practices. No more game nights. What lasts isn’t the scoreboard. It’s the locker room laughs. The teammates. The moments you didn’t know were the moment. Don’t rush it. You’ll miss this more than you think.

“I am genuinely telling you that playing hard is a skill.” - TJ McConnell It’s controllable. It’s a choice. Talent matters. Skill matters. But effort is decided. Do you compete when you’re tired? Do you play to exhaustion?

Most people quit before they see results. So don’t be most people. They stop right before the work starts working. If you’re in the gap between grinding daily and getting results, you’re closer than you think. Stay in it a little longer.

GREAT TEAMS HAVE GREAT TEAMMATES. ✅ Bring energy whether they're playing or not. ✅ Find ways to be in the game even when they aren't in the game. ✅ Create momentum. ✅ Are just as excited about a teammate's success as they are their own. 📽️ @MarquetteMBB

I don’t care what level of college you play (or played). You’re one of the 7% of HS athletes to do it, and that’s something to be really proud of.

Played on the developmental team last year, kept working over the summer and everyday at practice showing he belonged even at 5’8. Today he made his first start. There is no height when it comes to heart. @Brodieteke
