Fred Warner had issues with him. Kyle Shanahan put him in the doghouse. He had problems with his agent. He’s been at odds with the 49ers organization. At some point, it stops being everyone else. Aiyuk has always been the problem.

If Brandon Aiyuk didn’t want to be tied to the 49ers, he didn’t have to sign the contract in 2024. No one forced him to. But Aiyuk chose to sign it and accept $48.1 million over 2024-25, and the 49ers have contractual control. There are tradeoffs in life

@coasterride19 @HarryBerezin @LombardiHimself He’s under contract. If someone wants him they can trade for him. 49ers sacrificed mommy and contract when they could’ve went after someone else. Walking away empty handed when you have the leverage would be stupid

Brandon Aiyuk’s actions have only been rational if… -he actually never wants to play again -he simply wants to milk as much attention as possible from this period of public uncertainty … and since we haven’t seen any football workout tape, we can’t rule that possibility out

@LombardiHimself What % of your posts are about Brandon Aiyuk these days? Still think he’s not a distraction for the 49ers?🤔

Actions speak louder than words. Consider that Brandon Aiyuk has spoken plenty of wanting to be cut, but he hasn’t acted congruently. So until we see… -a football workout video -an application for reinstatement … make sure you process what’s going on intelligently

Brandon Aiyuk essentially was silent for more than a year until June 1 passed and the 49ers didn't release him. He didn't say a word publicly when the 49ers voided his guarantees. And we're supposed to believe he can't control himself.

These Washington parody accounts have moved on to say that Brandon Aiyuk is better than walking Hall of Famer Mike Evans. They have been watching too many Aiyuk videos 😂 😂
Full Command@FullCommandShow

“He’s been so dominant and something I don’t think we’ve had in maybe ever…” Brandon Aiyuk in his last healthy season (2023) recorded a higher yards per route run (2.65) and a lower drop rate (2.3%) than Mike Evans did in any year of his career They are playing on his name

@LombardiHimself And that’s exactly why the 49ers shouldn’t cut him. Because if he doesn’t want to play, the team can get significant cap savings. Doing anything other than what they’re doing would be cap management malpractice.

@LombardiHimself ...or, maybe after staying quiet, and watching the 49ers leak to Adam Shefter that they planned to intentionally harm his career, with no intention of ever playing him, he decided to make himself a thorn in their side. 🤔 Nah, you're probably right though. 🤡🤡

Why isn’t it ok? Aiyuk got $50 million for like 35 catches and 374 yards and 0 TDs. Things change. God forbid McLaurin gets injured in training camp…maybe a late round pick is on the table then. I can guarantee you every owner in the NFL including yours is fine with what the 49ers are doing.

@coasterride19 They refuse to see it cuz it would mean their perfect franchise isn't as perfect as they let on to be. I've been trying to tell People the same bht they want it to be black and white that "Aiyuk crazy" lol

@RShermanPodcast @RSherman_25 @49ers @TheVolumeSports Honest question..why was it okay for John Lynch to publicly state "he's played his last down here", then leak that they "don't plan to release him anytime soon" (a spiteful move, clearly designed to hinder his chances of a successful 2026) but Aiyuk still has to be a good boy?

Umm he talks about the 49ers doing what’s good for them. They don’t have to release him if he’s not man enough to show up. They won’t have to pay him, they won’t have to see him go to another NFC team(who they play this season) and they can keep his rights pretty much indefinitely until he shows up and asks for reinstatement. If someone wants to trade for him suddenly then they’ll be happy to do that.

@LombardiHimself Richard Sherman was on the 49ers’ payroll. You wish you were on their payroll. You two are definitely unbiased.

It was always fairly obvious that the 49ers hadn't mistreated Brandon Aiyuk. It's good that Richard Sherman cleared that up. Maybe we won't have to listen to online commentators blather about "the 49ers' share of responsibility" — without having any inside information — in their desperate attempt to sound "balanced". Good reminder that the majority of opinions on social media are not informed ones
