I think it’s fair for our faculty to know why this salary is so much higher than predecessors at a time when we all know the current model for funding medical education is not sustainable.

A bit of buzz about the salary for the new dean of the college of medicine among my Med Ed colleagues. Kind of demoralizing given that a tiny portion of our third year clerkship curriculum didn’t make the cut this year.

Lee Ann Liska, former president/CEO of @UC_Health UC Medical Center, has been named interim president of Vanderbilt University Hospital. She has been serving as COO since 2020 and steps in for Shon Dwyer, who is leaving at the end of the fiscal year.

So nice to have @LiskaLeeAnn in the city!
