In just under an hour I will be back in court. The drag queens who are suing me are fighting for the right for sexualised and gender-fluid role models to keep reading books like the one pictured to two-year-olds in council libraries. In their case against me they state: “The purpose of Drag Queen Story Time events is to promulgate a message of inclusivity and acceptance (of oneself and others) with respect to gender identities and sexual orientations that do not conform with hetero-normative or cis-normative standards." Sure, "love makes a family". But only a mother and a father make a baby. Children shouldn't be led to believe anything else. My case is important because Australians must always be free to speak up for the rights of the child. Sophie Beer's book, which was being read to children by my persecutors, presents motherless and fatherless families. The great injustice of same-sex marriage is it forces some children to miss out of the love of their mother and father to suit the lifestyle choices of adults. Yes, some kids miss out because of tragedy and desertion but no thinking person thinks this is a desirable outcome. No one has the right to deliberately deprive this of a child, which of course is what same-sex marriage assumes is fine. No one should be sowing this idea into the minds of children. LGBTIQA+ political activists are fighting me in court today for the right to tell children that a mother or father is optional and for all public criticism of this to be punishable by law. They want to break down in the mind of a child all "hetero-normative or cis-normative standards" and they want to do this unchallenged in public spaces, regardless of what mainstream mums and dads think.
